Frequently Asked Questions

Pain varies by person and location, but because tiny tattoos are smaller, they often hurt less than larger designs. Areas with more fat, muscle, or fewer nerve endings may be less painful, while bony areas like fingers or ankles might feel sharper. We do our best to make you comfortable during the process.

Our skin characteristics differ greatly, and the placement of pigment impacts how long brows last. Unlike body art tattoos, permanent makeup artists use different pigments and place them more superficially, just beneath the skin’s surface in the dermal layer. Over time, the body gradually breaks down the pigment, shedding it through dead skin cells.Factors affecting how long the color lasts are extensive: typically, oily skin loses color sooner; medications, sun exposure, exfoliants, skincare routines, retinol use, skin hydration, genetics, skin tone, and pigment color choice all play a role. Unfortunately, there isn’t a universal time frame, but on average, brows retain their color for about a year before needing a boost. For some clients, this may be as short as 9 months or as long as 18-24 months.

Tiny tattoos generally take about 2-3 weeks for the surface layer to heal, though complete healing can take a few months. Proper aftercare, like keeping it clean, moisturizing, and avoiding direct sunlight, can help speed up healing and maintain the tattoo’s quality.

Tiny tattoos can last a lifetime, but they may fade over time, especially in areas exposed to friction or sunlight, like fingers or wrists. Keeping it moisturized and protected from the sun helps maintain its vibrancy. Touch-ups can also be done if needed.
